URUGUAY REPORT

District Superintendent Steve Jones and Pastor Duane Burris of Aboite Missionary Church were recently in Uruguay for a Keystone Training event.  We want to share their reports with you!  Please click on their name for each report -- Steve Jones -- Duane Burris. 

OFFICE MANAGER POSITION

New Horizons Fellowship, New Haven, Indiana, is looking for an office manager/ministry assistant.  The job would require 10-15 hours a week.  It includes tracking attendance, making bulletins and prayer lists, answering phones, and general office work.  Some computer skills are needed but they will provide training.  If interested, please call the church at 260-749-0422 or e-mail pastorjeff@newhorizonsfellowship.net.

PREPARE and ENRICH TRAINING

Clergy and professional counselors are invited to attend a one-day workshop, where you will learn how to administer and interpret the PREPARE/ENRICH Inventories to couples you are counseling. This training will be held at Pathway Community Church on September 24th from 9 AM to 3 PM.  The registration deadline is September 13th.  Cost for Missionary Church pastors is $135.  This includes materials and lunch.  Click here for PREPARE Registration Information.

LOOKING FOR...

Living Faith Missionary Church in Yoder, Indiana ia looking for a part-time Children's Director and a part-time Youth/College Director.

Children's Director (Part-time)

15-18 hours a week at $14-$16 an hour
Director will oversee our Monday night children's program (K-5 grade), be in charge of setting vision for program, planning teaching times, and organize/train adult leaders. Other responsibilities include attending all staff meetings, overseeing Sunday morning Sunday school teachers and junior church. Applicant should have strong administrative and teaching skills, be able to connect with children and their families, and be viewed by others as a strong spiritual leader.

Youth/College Director (Part-time)

15-18 hours a week at $14-$16 an hour
Youth Director is responsible for developing and overseeing college age small group, plan and organize youth and college events, and lead Wednesday youth program. Applicant should have strong leadership and teaching skills, teachable, able to work well with teams, and is viewed by others as strong spiritual leader.

FALL LEADERSHIP ACADEMIES

Coming soon to your area...Leadership Academies!  At these LA’s we will be unpacking our gift to you, The Financial Dashboard.  We will do some training on the spiritual side of the technologies we all use.  Also, offering ideas for structuring your pastoral salary packages so that your pastors get the maximum benefit from the dollars you can afford to give them.  We always appreciate our time with you and look forward to this fall’s Leadership Academies.  Make sure to register for a Leadership Academy in your area!

LIBRARY AVAILABLE

We have a large library of books at the Central District Office.  Steve Jones wants to make these books available to lend to pastors.  We have a wide variety of topics.  If you are interested, stop by the office and peruse the titles.
