It is a core conviction of the Central District that discipleship is the most important task that the Lord has given us. In the past, discipleship has been synonymous with "Bible study," but we understand discipleship to mean "lifestyle transformation." The district embraces a model for discipleship called Keystone and offers training in Biblical discipleship through the Keystone 3D seminar.
Keystone Principles
The Keystone model for discipleship is based on three key missional principles:
- The Great Commission is the defining test for ministry.
- Spirit-led ministry is organic in nature, not structural.
- Christian leadership is accomplished as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Keystone 3D Training Seminar
Practical and Biblical training is available once a year at the Keystone 3D seminar. Keystone 3D is a 10-day, on site, intensive study of Keystone principles. Pastors and leaders from across the upper midwest gather for training and development of plans to implement Keystone principles in the local congregation.
